Getting a character sound to play at random intervals in 2D Game

I’m involved in a project making a 2D game and am quite new to FMOD and Unity. I was wondering how to have a character make a sound at random intervals ? I know how to do random sounds from a multi instrument but am trying to use the scatter instrument also for random intervals between each sound but cannot figure it out.


You can use a scatterer instrument by setting the polyphony as 1 and adjusting the interval as needed. If you need sound to be 2D, you can make the min & max scatter distance setting 0-0. It should look like this:
